Navajo Labor Force
The Navajo Nation does not conduct surveys to assess
the current labor force. According to the 1990 Census, 29.5% of the
total population
of
the Navajo Nation was in the labor force. This number slightly decreased
to
28.46% during the Census 2000. The same Census 2000 found 49.33% of
the US population in general to be in the labor force. The numbers for
Arizona,
New Mexico, and Utah were 46.53%, 45.88%, and 49.66%, respectively.
