Certifying and Registering your Business

The Division of Economic Development handles Business Regulatory functions by allowing "First Opportunity" in procurement of contracts to Navajo or Indian owned and operated businesses. We recommend you read through the general information of this section to find out more about the Navajo Nation's regulatory environment.

Services:

Certify Navajo or indian owned businesses: review all professional services, procurement & construction contracts for compliance with the Navajo Business Opportunity Act
Weights & Measures: protects the Navajo Nation consumers by inspecting and certifying measuring devices and instruments used to gauge various commercial transactions (i.e., liquid metering, weighting devices and linear measures)
Register businesses under the Navajo Nation Corporation Code: reviews and processes all applications and articles of incorporations
Manage and facilitate the Navajo Procurement Process
